Animation TD - Feature Animation

DIGIC Pictures has been making 3D animated films for more than twenty years. We have won numerous prestigious awards and created short films for world-renowned brands such as Call of Duty, Netflix's Love, Death & Robots and Amazon's Secret Level series.

Our team is currently working on several high-profile projects, including the animated film series based on the world-famous card game Magic: The Gathering for Netflix.

If you’re interested in the world of animated film production and love a challenge, this is the place for you! The Animation TD is responsible for the technical preparation and post-production of animation workflows. You’ll gain expertise in several areas: pipeline issues, animation, simulation, development, and scripting.

• Compiling and checking materials to be sent to rendering
• Optimizing production processes
• Writing scripts to support the work of animators
• Preparing and optimizing the work of others
• It’s important to note that the Animation TD’s role does not involve performing animation work directly, so please apply only if you’re specifically interested in this technical position!

For Mid to Senior TD Consideration:

• You would be responsible to collect requests, produce ideas and after talking to the Lead TD to develop the necessary tools and automatizations.

For Junior to Mid TD Consideration:

• Your main tasks involve helping the artists with technical issues, answering technical questions, reporting bugs back to the Lead TD or to the Senior TD
• From time to time you'd write some automatizations.
• Maya knowledge and technical aspects are more important than python.
• Beginner Python level is expected.
• Good communication skill is very important.

Professional qualifications:

• Feature Animation experience - (ideally long-form or high-end episodic)
• A Good understanding of animation principles
• Confident usage of Maya or other professional animation software

For Mid to Senior TD Consideration:

• You will need to know Maya, Mid level Python
• Have good problem solving skills,
• Production experience would be require.
• It would be good to have: PySide6, Qt, UX design experience and good communication skill

For Junior to Mid TD Consideration:

• From time to time you'd write some automatizations.
• Maya knowledge and technical aspects are more important than python.
• Beginner Python level is expected.
• Good communication skill is very important.

Soft skills:

• Good communication skills is very important (Intermediate of higher English proficiency)
• You have a team-oriented mindset
• Willingness to mentor and support others
• Creativity and strong attention to detail
• An artistic background would be a bonus ie Drawing, music, sculpting
