FILE YOUR JOB APPLICATION [HTTPS://PUPPETWORKS.EU/] Position Asset Technical Lead Department Asset Location Budapest, Hungary / Home Office Description Summary of the role: The Asset Technical Lead is responsible for assisting the CG Supervisor/Creative Director and Art Director to fulfill their creative vision by producing quality character, set, and prop rigs and models, as well as scripting solutions. Under the supervision of the Art Director and Production Director, the Asset Technical Lead works together with the Senior Asset Artist and with the CG Core Team to develop the aesthetics and pipeline for current CG projects. The Asset Technical Lead will also assist the Art Director / Production Director with developing new techniques, visual development, and pipeline standards for new projects and helps lead the team of studio artists in their tech-art efforts. This position requires working closely with the CG Animation and Project Coordinator / Managers. Key Areas of responsibilities: Working closely with the Director/Art Director to understand and technically drive forward his vision. Upon request partnering with the Production Coordinator to schedule the project, based on the bid days provided by the Producer. Choosing the most efficient technologies, tools, taking into account the budget, deadline and quality benchmark. Constantly working with the CG supervisor in optimizing the workflow and pipeline, tools, software etc. Responsible for technically checking everything before it is promoted to the next department to make sure it will technically fit in the pipeline. Resolving technical disagreements between the artists and choosing the best course of action for the project. Mentoring and boosting the morale of artists on the project to make the work environment better. Creating and implementing new tools and techniques while working closely with the CG supervisor. Establishing and continuously developing the Asset Inventory/Library (as an owner). Experience Required: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineers, or equivalent A good knowledge of programming languages and software engineering practices Proven track record of technical knowledge of the software required Experience with asset tracking/management system Work ethic focused on the dynamism, motivation and collaboration Traditional artistic knowledge and background/experience: great aesthetic eye for details is a must Fluent English Personal Requirements: Strong team player and leadership skills Self-motivated, task-driven, and a great-team player Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent organizational and communication skills Proactive (self learner, continuous tracking of tech developments) Open to direction and able to embrace change Software Skills: Autodesk Maya (proficient) + how it applies to animation workflows and pipeline Solid Angle Arnold (extensive)
