Success in this role requires strong communication, structure, and empathy. You’ll bring order to busy production environments, balancing agility with practical process, and maintain a hands-on understanding of how our workflows and tools are used across SEO, HYD, and the wider Eyeline network. You’ll work within global frameworks set by the Global Central Production Manager and Directors of VFX Production, while providing local ownership and continuity for Production in SEO/HYD.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the site-level owner for Production operations in SEO and HYD, ensuring Production teams are supported, informed, and aligned with global standards.
  • Lead day-to-day resourcing, vacation approvals, and coverage planning for Production staff in SEO/HYD, in partnership with Producers and the Central Production Manager.
  • Coordinate ShotGrid show setup and closure for SEO/HYD shows, applying global templates, workflows and conventions and ensuring clean, consistent data.
  • Oversee time log, overtime, and weekend-work administration in the region, ensuring accuracy, timely approvals, and compliance with company policies.
  • Support and coordinate post-mortems for local shows as requested, capturing actions, ensuring follow-through, and surfacing systemic issues to global leadership.
  • Help drive implementation of global workflows and Production standards locally: Maintain local checklists, guides, and how-tos; Run walkthroughs and refreshers when changes roll out; Model best practices and champion adoption in SEO/HYD.
  • Partner with the Central Production Manager and Talent/HR to support recruitment for Production roles in SEO/HYD: Participate in interviews; Provide structured feedback and level recommendations.
  • Support onboarding for new Production hires in SEO/HYD by ensuring they understand how we work: core workflows, tools, expectations, and ways of working with show teams.
  • Help define and maintain clear standards for how Production operates locally, in alignment with global Production leadership.
  • Develop and deliver Production training sessions for SEO/HYD and provide practical examples and feedback to help evolve global Production training.
  • Act as a day-to-day resource and mentor for junior Production staff, helping them build confidence in both the technical and interpersonal aspects of their role.
  • Provide Production support for special initiatives impacting SEO/HYD, acting as the local execution partner for global projects.
  • Help foster a positive, inclusive Production culture in SEO/HYD by organizing or supporting team social activities and informal check-ins, and promoting psychological safety, collaboration, and constructive feedback.
  • Maintain clear, regular communication with the Central Production Manager and Director of VFX, providing visibility into local needs, risks, and opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in VFX, Animation, Games, or a closely related field, with time spent in Production roles such as a Digital Production Manager, or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of VFX Production workflows and day-to-day realities on shows, including scheduling, communication flows, and cross-department collaboration.
  • Experience with ShotGrid (Flow), ideally including show setup, basic template management, and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize multiple operational tasks and stakeholders, manage resourcing and vacation planning in a dynamic, multi-show environment, and operate calmly and constructively under pressure and ambiguity.
  • Skilled in stakeholder management, able to collaborate effectively with Producers, Coordinators, department leads, and global Operations teams.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills; able to make processes clearer and easier to follow.
  • High emotional intelligence, empathy, and cultural awareness, particularly when working across sites and time zones (SEO and HYD).
  • Proficiency with G-Suite and comfort working with resource and time-tracking data.
