ComfyUI Artist (with Compositing background)

Are you passionate about generative AI and love transforming creative briefs into stunning visuals? Join our team as a ComfyUI Artist, where traditional VFX craft meets cutting-edge AI workflows.

We’re looking for a ComfyUI Artist with a strong compositing background (ideally Nuke) who can translate ideas into AI-driven visual outputs while maintaining high quality, consistency, and realism.

This role is not purely experimental - we’re looking for someone who understands production standards and shot-based workflows, and can integrate AI into a compositing pipeline effectively.

This is a freelance role starting in May (approx. 1-month assignment, with potential extension into June). The role can be remote across the EU, with a preference for candidates based in Berlin or Italy who are open to working onsite.

What you’ll do

  • Build, manage, and optimize ComfyUI workflows for image-to-video and video-to-video pipelines
  • Translate creative briefs into production-ready AI workflows
  • Integrate AI-generated outputs into live-action plates
  • Perform de-aging work using LoRA-based workflows
  • Match lighting, grain, and realism across sequences
  • Troubleshoot node graphs and optimize performance, stability, and output quality
  • Ensure outputs meet production compositing standards, not just visual experiments
  • Collaborate closely with VFX, compositing, and 3D teams

Who you are

  • Strong hands-on experience with ComfyUI and open-source generative AI workflows (WAN), including ControlNet, LoRA integration, upscaling pipelines, and related model-conditioning techniques.
  • Solid compositing background (Nuke strongly preferred)
  • Experience working on shot-based production workflows
  • Strong understanding of realism, lighting, and image integration
  • Ability to maintain consistency across multiple shots and sequences
  • Comfortable troubleshooting node graphs and optimizing workflows for production
  • Good awareness of the generative AI ecosystem and practical workflows
  • Curious, hands-on, and solution-oriented

Technical requirements

  • ComfyUI
  • Nuke (strongly preferred)
  • Additional experience in Houdini or Blender is a plus

Good to have

  • Experience with dataset preparation and LoRA/model training
  • Basic Python scripting

What we offer

  • A friendly, creative studio environment with experienced artists
  • Freedom to experiment with AI workflows - within a real production context
  • A focused assignment with clear scope (~200 shots)
  • Minimal bureaucracy - we focus on what works
  • Freelance flexibility with remote options
