About the position

As an FX artist at ILP you will create a wide range of effects from scratch. You will have the opportunity to take a lot of artistic ownership as we value creativity, artistry and technical knowledge. You will get the chance to work autonomously and manage your own tasks while working within a team of FX artists.

You will also closely collaborate with other artists, to find out what you need from them for your simulations to work, and updating managers and coordinators about progress and roadblocks. We believe that a close dialogue between you and the artists brings out the most of the shots. This adds an extra layer of responsibility on all our artists, but it also gives an extra sense of ownership and involvement that motivates our artists to go the extra mile. This, together with a culture that encourages everyone to chip in with their ideas, is what enables ILP to deliver the quality we are known for.

This is a permanent position with a six months probationary period, based in one of our office locations in Sweden, UK or Germany.

Your work will include

• Creating effects setups from scratch
• Working across all areas and aspects of FX
• Owning your effects from start to finish, with speed and efficiency
• Finding and matching references to achieve shot goals
• Constant and proactive dialogue with other artists
• Working on some of the coolest shows in the business with talented colleagues

You need the following

• Experience in all aspects of FX
• Expertise within Water FX and/or CFX is considered a plus
• Great artistic eye, both for what looks right and how to take it to the next level
• The ability to take ownership of your shots and push them to world class standards
• Excellent knowledge of Houdini
• Organized workflows and good team communication
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken
• Humble, helpful and put ego aside to help the shows
• Able to work on site at one of our offices in Stockholm, London or Hamburg
