Purpose: Why you’re here at Brown Bag Films
- To create characterful and entertaining animation that meets or exceeds Animation Director and Client expectations and schedule.
Delivery: What you produce
- Character and asset animation quota.
Measurements: How we measure it
- Animated output meeting requirements within scope and Production schedule
- Feedback from Animation Director, Animation Supervisor, Producer(s) and Director and /or Production Leadership
- Development response to notes and feedback.
What you are regularly responsible for doing:
- Producing animated quota up to the expectations of the Animation Director.
- Assessing the Leica Reel/Storyboards, Animation Director launch notes and bringing creative/characterful ideas and solutions to further elevate scene.
- Seeking to understanding Director and Animation Director intent to maintain the animation style.
- Tracking episode progress to maintain schedule and communicating with Supervisor regarding any issues.
- Revising animation output based on blocking, animation and revision notes.
- Collaborating with Supervisor and Animation Director regarding any creative or technical challenges (continuity, missing assets, scene discrepancies, etc.)
Things that help you do your job (what is essential and what is desirable)
Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of character performance and animation principals.
- Considerable appreciation of how animation software applications are applied to animation production.
Experience:
- Experience on long-form Film/TV animation productions (desirable).
- Experience with asset tracking systems & workflow management software (e.g., Shotgrid).
Technical skills:
- Forecasting workflow.
- Skills in rigging (desirable).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, in particular Excel, MS Project and PowerPoint.
