Junior Animator (Feature Animation)

DIGIC Pictures has been making 3D animated films for more than twenty years. We have won numerous prestigious awards and created short films for world-renowned brands such as Call of Duty, Netflix's Love, Death & Robots and Amazon's Secret Level series.

Our team is currently working on several high-profile projects, including the animated film series based on the world-famous card game Magic: The Gathering for Netflix.

Candidates should be comfortable with owning a character performance across a sequence and utilizing a variety of techniques to push and develop both the character and animation style while ensuring performances remain grounded, believable, and true to character.

Junior Animator (Keyframe) - please note that this is not a first time or graduate animator opportunity role sadly.

Reports to: Head of Animation

Please note that DIGIC can only work with freelancers who are registered as sole proprietors/entrepreneurs or as self-employed professionals.

What you'll do:

• Execute assigned animation or technical tasks with precision and on time
• Solve problems independently and present creative/technical solutions
• Understand and follow the production pipeline from input to output
• Actively communicate any questions or blockers using our internal production tool and directly with your team
• Test new tools and workflows, and suggest improvements
• Participate in internal knowledge-sharing sessions, presentations
• Collaborate with other departments to help ensure successful project delivery

Professional qualifications:

• Minimum 2+ years of production experience
• Good understanding of animation principles
• Confident use of Maya or other professional animation software
• Confident use of RV for animation review
• Good artistic skills in character animation
• Knowledge of film pipelines and asset production workflows
• Intermediate or higher English proficiency
• A reel that showcases your Keyframe animation ability
• Previous long-form and episodic animation experience will be advantageous
• This is not a first time or graduate animator opportunity role sadly
