DIGIC Pictures has been making 3D animated films for more than twenty years. We have won numerous prestigious awards and created short films for world-renowned brands such as Call of Duty, Netflix's Love, Death & Robots and Amazon's Secret Level series.

Our team is currently working on several high-profile projects, including the animated film series based on the world-famous card game Magic: The Gathering for Netflix.

DIGIC is looking for talented artists to bring the stylized fantasy world of Magic: The Gathering Netflix series to life. We are seeking a highly skilled Concept Artist/Matte Painter/Illustrator with a mastery of digital painting and look development to serve as a cornerstone of our Art Department. In this role, you will be the bridge between the Art Director’s vision and the final production pipeline.

Your primary responsibility is to execute Paintovers on complex Keyshots. These master paintings will define the texture, lighting, and "painterly" DNA that the rest of the team will follow throughout the production. You aren't just finishing shots; you are setting the gold standard for the entire production.

Feladatok

• Perform high-fidelity overpaints on anchor shots to define the "painterly look" for environments, characters, and VFX.
• Develop and document the workflows (brush sets, layering logic, and Nuke/Photoshop integration) that allow the team to achieve the look efficiently.
• Work closely with the Art Director and CG Leads to ensure the painted aesthetic is supported by the lighting and compositing stages.

Elvárások

• You have a deep understanding of traditional art fundamentals - lighting, color theory, and most importantly, visible brushwork and texture.
• You don't just create a beautiful image; you understand how to break it down into a repeatable process for others to follow.
• You are intimately familiar with the 3D pipeline.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop is a must.
• You can take a rough composite and see the "final path" quickly, making the executive artistic decisions that define the show’s quality.
