Description

Shotgrid TD

Responsibilities

  • Pipeline & Tool Development
  • Design, develop, and maintain custom ShotGrid tools, scripts, and integrations (Python API, Toolkit, etc.) for various departments (Assets, Layout, Animation, Lighting, Comp, etc.).
  • Automate repetitive production tasks like publishing, versioning, or status updates.
  • Production Support
  • Troubleshoot and resolve ShotGrid-related issues (permissions, entity schema, page layouts, API failures, etc.).
  • Assist production teams with report generation, dashboard customization, and data cleanup.
  • Ability to design workflows for asset tracking, shot management, and review cycles.
  • Database & Workflow Management
  • Manage entity schemas, pipeline configurations, and data structures in ShotGrid.
  • Maintain standardized naming conventions, templates, and task structures across shows.
  • Implement and maintain automation between ShotGrid and asset management, and review tools.

Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

  • Strong Python programming skills (experience with the ShotGrid API and Toolkit is essential).
  • Familiarity with DCC applications (Maya, Nuke, Houdini, Unreal, etc.) and their pipeline integration.
  • Experience with database concepts, REST APIs, and JSON data handling.
  • Production Knowledge
  • Solid understanding of VFX, Animation, or CG production pipelines.
  • Experience configuring and maintaining ShotGrid sites, templates, and permissions.
  • Ability to design workflows for asset tracking, shot management, and review cycles.

Advantages:

  • Prior experience as a Pipeline TD, Production TD, or ShotGrid Administrator in a studio environment.
  • Familiarity with RV, FTrack, or Deadline integration is a plus.
  • Experience in cross-platform development (Windows/Linux) environments.
