Skydance Animation Madrid is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Technical Artist Character Assembly Trainee to join our studio!

Our Internship Program offers its own unique learning opportunities. You will have the chance to network and meet with Skydance leaders, learn transferable skills, and gain real-world experience. It is an ideal experience for those moving from the classroom to the industry.

This is a paid internship that will be held on-site.

Responsibilities

  • Helps fix the issues in the assigned scenes.
  • Helps artists to solve simple bugs.
  • Updates basic documentation. Reviews and updates the technical documentation related to the workflows and tools of the department that they support.
  • Attends technical meetings as requested, to keep trained and updated in the new studio/department tools, pipelines, workflows, etc.
  • Keeps up on current artistic methodologies and on technology trends and tools that best suit the production and the company in the development of a stronger creative and technical environment.
  • Follows the Tutor’s guidance.
  • Assists other team members when necessary.
  • Follows the department supervisor and leads instruction.

Requirements

  • Strong artistic or/and technical knowledge related to 3D animation is a must.
  • Knowledge of some 3D animation area (Modeling, Surfacing, Animation, Lighting).
  • Knowledge in any 3D animation Software (Maya, Max, or Houdini).
  • Must be available for at least 3 months onsite (from Monday until Friday, 35h/week).
  • Must be currently enrolled in your last year in an Associate, Bachelor, or Master’s program at an accredited institution.
  • Self-starter with proficient writing and critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task.
  • Highly motivated and interested in Animation and Technology.
  • Good team player!
  • High English level.
  • Spanish desirable.
