Bardel is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Technical Support Administrator to join our Technology team. This role is central to ensuring seamless technical operations across both our Corporate and Production environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT support, user account administration, and system configuration, while also collaborating with cross-functional technology teams such as Systems and Pipeline to support the studio’s creative and operational needs.
What You'll Do:
End-User & Production Support
- Provide day-to-day technical support for artists and production teams across Windows, macOS, and Linux workstations.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues with a strong focus on customer service and clear communication.
- Assist artists with issues in key VFX/animation applications such as Maya, Houdini, Nuke, and Blender.
Identity, Access & Device Management
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and workstation configurations through Active Directory and related administration tools.
- Support Microsoft Entra (Azure AD)–based identity workflows including MFA, conditional access, and hybrid identity setups.
Workstation Deployment & Asset Management
- Deploy and image workstations using tools such as WDS, FOG, or Clonezilla.
- Maintain accurate documentation and asset tracking.
- Lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs as required.
Networking, Render & Pipeline Support
- Diagnose and resolve networking issues including DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs.
- Support render farm operations using tools such as Deadline or Qube.
- Troubleshoot pipeline-related issues including permissions, environment variables, and file pathing.
Requirements
What'll You'll Bring:
Experience & Technical Foundation
- 3+ years of technical support or IT administration experience in a VFX, animation, gaming, or creative studio environment.
- Strong expertise with Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
Networking, Systems & Automation
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and studio storage systems (NAS/SAN).
- Advanced PowerShell skills for automation and troubleshooting.
- Experience supporting render farms and distributed compute environments.
