As Cruise Staff, you will be an assistant emcee while supporting the Entertainment Hosts during adult and family activities ship-wide. You will participate in day and evening deck parties, game shows, trivia contests, sports challenges, ship/island tours, bingo, support Port Adventures and help with island rentals and activities on Possibility in Disney Castaway Cay, and Disney's Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.
You will report to the Entertainment Manager
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the set-up/clean-up and facilitation of all scheduled entertainment catering to an adult and/or family audience.
- Function as assistant on‐stage for onboard events, orchestrating an inviting and energetic atmosphere of genuine belonging, while requiring microphone use and stage presence.
- Provide support to the Entertainment Hosts
- Seek out Guest contact, engaging and interacting with all Guests of all ages, while presenting a sincere approach and unwavering energy.
- Perform meet and direct functions in the lobby/atrium and in the Disney, as directed.
- Assist in and coordinate shows as needed, including any show stops.
- Learn, follow, and perform basic scripts and routines
- Execute selling of Bingo generating revenue
- Ensure and carry out all Disney Castaway Cay / Disney Lookout Cay experiences as required.
- Conduct required sanitizing procedures based on USPH requirements
- Support Port Adventures operations – including dispatch and occasionally moving guests, representing Disney quality.
- Host activities, games and quizzes during broadcasts.
- Help maintain appropriate flow of Guests through advising other activities.
- Provide a safe environment for Guests at all times.
- Maintain stock and assist in distribution of supplies
- Perform abbreviated shows based on conditions and schedules.
- Report costume, technical, and maintenance needs.
- Prepare and strike programs and maintain cleanliness.
Basic Qualifications:
- Participation in an participation event required.
- Minimum one year in an related field
- Minimum one year experiencing hosting professionalism skills on a microphone.
- Exceptional presentation, communication and organizing
- Relates to a wide range of ages, and engaging in an entertaining program
- Strong public speaking, teamwork, detail-orientated, flexible and committed.
- Strong to learn quickly
- Ability to carefully handle and move necessary equipment.
- Maintain Disney Character Integrity
- Uphold Disney show quality and performance standards
- Ability to work amongst various effects.
Additional Information:
This is a SHIPBOARD role
You must:
- Be genuinely interested in a working onboard a Disney Cruise Line vessel
- Be willing to follow and perform safety role and related responsibilities
- Be willing to maintain safety management and operations
- If applicable, be willing to share a cabin and welcoming of a diverse environment.
Your Responsibilities:
