As General Maintenance – Carpentry, you will perform general preventive and corrective maintenance procedures, as well as, respond to guest or operational repair needs, with focus on assigned discipline.
You will report to the Assistant Manager – Island General Maintenance
Responsibilities:
Your Responsibilities – How You Will Make a Difference
- Maintain work orders and estimate time and materials
- Perform a variety of finish and rough carpentry tasks, including repairs and fabrication in all areas: woodwork, laminates, and furniture
- Maintain and repair upholstery work and perform sewing repairs
- Construct and install wall partitions, door openings, system furniture, suspended ceilings, etc,
- Repair and maintain roofs, walls, floors, ceilings, steps, sidewalks, thresholds, handrails, counter tops, furniture, etc.
- Perform preventive maintenance on interior and exterior overhead doors, fire doors, roofs, roof drains, gutters and downspouts
Basic Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications – What You Will Bring to the Team
- 3 or more years of experience in the areas of general maintenance and repair; Experience can be substituted with technical/vocational training in general maintenance and repair or other relevant experience for understudy development
- Knowledge of the standard practices, methods, tools, and materials common to general maintenance carpentry
- Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of general maintenance carpentry
- Experience using trade tools including saws, hand and power tools, drill presses, and woodworking machines
- This is a field service position that may include work from ladders, elevated platforms, and working in confined spaces
