What You Will Do
We are looking for a Show Lighting Design intern who has a true passion for lighting. As an intern on the team, you will work with the team to develop, design, develop, and document new projects. These projects apply architectural and theatrical lighting techniques that support the creative vision for attractions, restaurants, merchandise areas and/or area development in our parks and resorts. Other tasks may include inventory control for equipment and stores.
- Develop, under supervision, designs of show responsibility
- Prepare, under supervision, basic lighting design and field execution
- Troubleshoot and install existing lighting in a construction environment
- Provide comprehensive support to Lighting Designers
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Hands on experience with theatrical or architectural lighting
- Experience with AutoCAD & Revit
- Computer literacy with MS Office products
- Ability to work as a member of a technical team
- Valid Driver’s Course required
Education
- Currently enrolled as a Junior or higher attending an accredited college/university earning a degree in a Theatrical or Architectural Lighting program, or related field.
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess unrestricted work authorization
- Have not completed one year of continuous employment on a Disney internship or program.
Additional Information
- Able to provide reliable transportation to/from work
- Must be fully available for the duration of the internship
- Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship in Anaheim,
