CFX Artist (Feature Animation) – Hungary
DIGIC Pictures has been making 3D animated films for more than twenty years. We have won numerous prestigious awards and created short films for world-renowned brands such as Call of Duty, Netflix's Love, Death & Robots and Amazon's Secret Level series.
Our team is currently working on several high-profile projects, including the animated film series based on the world-famous card game Magic: The Gathering for Netflix.
Seniority: We would be open to review applications from Junior through to Lead level (inclusive).
Responsibilities
- Creating simulations of objects and characters based on the technical director’s guidelines
- Configuring parameters for gravity, material density, and other physical conditions in Maya
- Bringing characters’ clothing and hair to life so they appear as realistic as possible
- Working closely with the animation and rigging teams
Essential skills
You’ll be successful in this role if
- You’re interested in the world of animated films You have user-level knowledge of Maya’s simulation tools
- You’re familiar with Marvelous Designer from a simulation perspective
- You have a good imagination and aesthetic sense to achieve beautiful simulation results You’re familiar with the dynamics of clothing and hair movement (nDynamics)
- You don’t get discouraged if things don’t work out the first time; you persistently strive to achieve your goal
- You have at least a basic knowledge of English, which helps you navigate computer software with ease
Desirable skills
- Basic knowledge of rigging and modeling
- At least 1–2 years of work experience in a similar field or in any area of animation or production
