Zerply closes on September 28, 2026 at 16:00 UTC. If you are looking for a Zerply alternative for your VFX or animation portfolio, start by preserving your work. VFX Engine offers public artist profiles and portfolio projects, including for artists building their first reel.
VFX Engine is independent of Zerply. There is no automatic Zerply import.

What to do before Zerply goes dark
Set your Zerply redirect
Before September 28, choose LinkedIn, IMDb, Framerate, or Vimeo in Zerply. Those are the redirect choices Zerply lists, and it says the redirects will run for at least a year.
Build a public profile
Add your bio, disciplines, reel link, and portfolio projects on VFX Engine. Check the public page, then update the links on your CV, LinkedIn, and email signature.

Make a profile that grows with you
Start with a bio and a reel or portfolio link. Add project images and credits as you go. Your public artist profile gives you one VFX focused page to share with collaborators and employers.

- 2.Open Settings, add your profile details, and select Portfolio to add projects.
- 3.Open your public profile and copy its URL to the places people already find you.
Moving your Zerply portfolio: common questions
Can I import my Zerply profile into VFX Engine?
There is no automatic import. Save your Zerply media and any export you received, then create a VFX Engine profile and add the projects you want to show. You can link an existing reel hosted on Vimeo or YouTube from your profile settings.
Can my Zerply profile URL redirect to VFX Engine?
Zerply currently lists LinkedIn, IMDb, Framerate, and Vimeo as redirect destinations. VFX Engine is not one of those choices. Choose a destination in Zerply before September 28, then share your new VFX Engine profile URL through the places you control.
What if I missed the September 21 export request date?
Zerply says it cannot guarantee that later export requests will be processed. Its Shot Library still allows individual media downloads until the site closes. Check the official notice for the latest instructions.
