Under general supervision of the CG Supervisor and the Creative Director the artist is responsible for rendering layers, and compositing those layers to create the final image.
- Degree/diploma in fine arts or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Compositing Artist (or equivalent)
- Thorough knowledge of high-end compositing software, Katana, Nuke
- Strong demonstration of composition and color
- Thorough knowledge of node based compositing systems
- Demonstrable ability to communicate creative and technical thoughts and ideas
- A portfolio or reel demonstrating photorealistic compositing, including CG integration into live-action footage where relevant.
- Familiarity with linear workflows and color management, including ACES/OCIO.

- Perform technical work in support of shot compositing using a variety of tools.
- Follow the creative direction of the production from a compositing standpoint as communicated by the Supervisor.
- Identify to the Supervisor problems that compositing could potentially present with respect to timelines and delivery schedules.
- Performing compositing operations with the rendered layers created, including overall look and feel, color correction, extractions, rotoscoping, and other compositing effects as needed.
- Integrate CG elements into live-action plates/elements.
- Work with surfacing, look development, and lighting artists to ensure materials respond convincingly under compositing integration.
