FX Artist (Feature Animation) - Hungary
DIGIC Pictures has been making 3D animated films for more than twenty years. We have won numerous prestigious awards and created short films for world-renowned brands such as Call of Duty, Netflix's Love, Death & Robots and Amazon's Secret Level series.
Our team is currently working on several high-profile projects, including the animated film series based on the world-famous card game Magic: The Gathering for Netflix.
We would be open to review applications from Junior through to Lead level (inclusive).
Responsibilities
What you'll do:
- Design and create stylized FX in Houdini
- Simulate and render particle, fluid, and other dynamic systems
- Integrate FX into Maya/Nuke/Unreal workflows
- Collaborate with supervisors and production
- Take ownership of complex tasks (solo or with a small team)
Essential skills
What we're looking for:
- 5+ years experience as an FX Artist
- Proficiency in Houdini
- Working knowledge of Unreal Engine, Maya, Arnold, and Nuke
- For freelancers: ability to invoice legally under Hungarian law
- Intermediate English communication skills
- Experience with stylized visuals is a big plus
