Layout Supervisor

JOB BRIEF

The supervisor would be responsible for managing the team & quality of output across the group as a whole, reporting to our Head of Previs & Layout.

The Previs & Layout supervisor will be expected to engage in basic line management tasks alongside the Head of Previs & Layout, helping manage the performance and wellbeing of the artists, as well as inputting on recruitment decisions when necessary.

The Supervisor is a thorough knowledge of Maya, Editorials and the ability to troubleshoot technical problems and find solutions.

The supervisor will have an excellent understanding of animation pipelines including pre-production, production and post-production. The ability to contribute hands-on is essential

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee the assignment and management of the Layout Artist department workload, including reviewing the animation or games.
• Work closely with the Director and other department supervisors to complete work in accordance with the style of the show.
• A strong, measurable track record in delivering against layout department goals and targets.
• Balance multiple priorities and ensure that all internal and external deadlines are met on the Layout.
• Resolve problems or concerns within the Layout department in a productive and positive manner, escalating.
• The supervisor must be willing and able to work onsite in Bangkok Thailand
• Performing any other works which may be assigned from time to time.
• Performing and responsibilities are compliance with regulations and internal audit processes.

JOB & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

• Experience in 5-7+ years of previous experience as an Animation, Layout on a production series.
• A desire and ability to motivate and develop team members.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to confidently supervise a team.
• Strong understanding of the principles of animation, with a keen eye for character pose, staging, editorial elements and storytelling.
• Good knowledge of cinematography
• Good knowledge of basic program : Maya, Adobe Premiere Pro / After Effect
• Experience with Maya camera sequencers.
• Experience with Nuke, Unreal Engine would be a plus.
• Good or Fair written and spoken English.
• Be a good humor and have a good attitude.
