MID/Senior Pipeline Developer
Responsibilities:
- Maintain the schedule and production quotas communicated by the coordinator.
- Attend R&D meetings.
- Work with supervisors from each department (CG, modeling, texturing, rendering) to define parameters and needs related to processing.
- Complete tasks within the time assigned by production and the R&D Director.
- Implement the corrections requested by the R&D Director with analytical skills.
- Maintain the tracking system and communicate about work in progress.
- After gaining experience, develop tools, approved by the Head of CG Supervisor and the R&D Director.
- Provide R&D support for the Studio.
- Report work progress to coordination, the Head of CG, and the R&D Director.
- Adhere to the production time and quotas set by the coordination team.
- Execute corrections requested by the Supervisor and the Director while demonstrating an analytical mindset.
- Organize tasks and prepare presentation materials for approval.
- Communicate and seek information when necessary.
- Maintain a strong team dynamic.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of the complete workflow of an animation pipeline.
- Previous work experience in a production.
- Experience working with at least one animation software.
- Knowledge of version management in a complex repository.
- Knowledge of animation databases (e.g., ShotGrid).
- Tool creation.
- Maintenance of existing tools.
- Python programming. Required: Experience with OOP and development of GUIs. Optional: Knowledge of design patterns and testing.
- Control versioning. Experience working with Git or similar software for version control.
- Database management. Experience working with standard VFX databases such as Flow(shotgrid)
- 3D softwares. Use of APIs of 3D software such as Maya, Houdini or Nuke for developing tools for artists or automatizing processes across multiple departments.
- Management of renderfarms with Deadline or similar softwares
- Clear understanding of all stages of a 3D animated production.
