Production Data Analyst for Feature Animation - ILM Vancouver

Position Summary
The Production Data Analyst for Feature Animation oversees production data and analysis for assigned projects. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of the feature animation production lifecycle. Working closely with Producers and other production staff, you will manage the day-to-day activity of a project as well as evaluating insights and reporting, including both internal and client report templates.
What You’ll Do
- Manage and optimize internal and client reporting templates across the feature animation portfolio.
- Support Producer in creating and managing reports.
- Develop and maintain show(s) master sequence, quota schedule, and scenario planner with the Producers and Production staff.
- Prepare standardized weekly and monthly reports and other special reports as needed.
- Compile and deliver internal weekly status reports for the Producer(s).
- Responsible for reviewing weekly detail reports for accuracy and making reclassifications as required.
- Partner with Producers and Production Managers to ensure show inventory is flowing through the pipeline and that all departments monitor their daily inventory levels, providing accurate output figures and forecasts.
- Pro-actively make recommendations for improvements to production and workflows, particularly with respect to scheduling, flow of information, milestones, and client reporting.
- Support Feature Animation forecasting and planning.
- Work to understand the wants and needs of all teams to help prioritize workloads on a short- and long-term basis.
- Appropriately elevate issues and solutions to Producer(s).
- Mentor Production Staff on assessing their bids and schedules and generating reports.
What We’re Looking For
- 3–4 years of production experience, including a minimum of 2 years of specialized experience within feature animation.
- Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets, with a proven track record of managing and analyzing large datasets.
- Strong, demonstrated analytical skills.
- Energetic, resourceful, and hands-on collaborator with a strong service orientation.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments, where you handle multiple tasks while meeting strict deadlines.
