SHOT 01 - Unveiling the Depths

Creating volumetric light beams that properly scatter through water while maintaining the focal point on our mysterious glowing artifact. The diver's helmet lights cut through the murky depths with precision-controlled falloff while the luminescent green bottle creates an eerie centerpiece glow. Notice how the cooler ambient blues contrast with the warmer helmet lights to create depth perception in an environment where shadows behave differently.

Technical elements I focused on:

- Precision-controlled light falloff from helmet sources

- Volumetric light scatter in an underwater medium

- Color temperature contrast for enhanced depth perception

- Shadow behavior modification for the underwater environment

Production pipeline:

- Maya for scene assembly and initial blocking

- Katana for advanced lighting setup with custom volumetric light rigs

- Nuke for final compositing with specialized underwater atmospherics

SHOT 02 - Leo & Fubo

Combining real-world footage with CGI elements through meticulous VFX lighting integration. The scene demonstrates proper integration of CG elements with live-action plate photography through careful attention to lighting reference and color accuracy.

Technical elements I focused on:

- Real-world lighting reference capture and integration

- Color matching between the live plate and CG elements

- Camera tracking and scene reconstruction

- Seamless compositing of multiple elements

Production pipeline:

- Blackmagic Pocket 6K for plate photography

- Insta 360 camera for HDRI reference capture

- Maya for initial matchmoving and layout

- Katana for lighting implementation

- Nuke for element compositing

- DaVinci Resolve for color grading and final preparation

SHOT 03 - Echoes of the Hollow

The eerie green moonlight creates an otherworldly atmosphere, while the bright purple colors hint at supernatural activity inside the old building. Notice how the contrast between warm and cool colors immediately communicates "something's not right here" without any dialogue.

Technical elements I focused on:

- The window and doorway light flickering

- 3D vertigo effect to create disorientation

- Balancing moonlight with the spooky glowing elements

- Maintaining building detail clarity despite atmospheric effects

Production pipeline:

- Katana for lighting setup and creation

- Arnold for rendering the fog and light interactions

- Nuke for final compositing and color work
