As a Strategic Sourcing intern, you will have the unique opportunity to assist with a variety of projects within our Strategic Sourcing department.
What will you do:
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies in alignment with business initiatives and priorities with an opportunity to work with Design and Construction, Facility & Operations Services and Professional Services.
- Perform data analysis to find opportunities for cost reduction and value creation (improved quality, cost, service and compliance).
- Perform liaison work between Strategic Sourcing and key clients, ensuring efficient bidding, contracting and award methods.
- Provide support for the Specimen Analysis and Wildlife Studies section, including data analysis and supplier interface.
- Develop and improve procurement strategies for materials and services.
- Participate in supplier negotiations and market assessments.
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships and contract compliance.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Strong organizational and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
Familiar with:
- Procurement and supply chain concepts
- Contract management principles
- Data analysis tools
Education:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Business, Economics, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
