What You Will Do
We seek a dedicated Mechanical Design & Production Intern to support mechanical design and hands-on production, focusing on special effects, animatronics, and show action equipment. The role includes help with prototype fabrication and assembly of advanced mechanical and electrical systems.
Contribute to mechanical design, design reviews, drawing /documentation, and ensuring designs meet creative standards. (SolidWorks or similar CAD package)
Assist with mechanical fabrication and assembly under supervision.
Support project goals including mockups, integrations, and troubleshooting.
Work with engineers to resolve issues.
Suggest process improvements and show initiative.
Foster teamwork and uphold communication and integrity standards.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Familiarity with machining, welding, and mechanical assembly.
Hands-on experience through industry, school, or club projects.
Proficient in basic fabrication tools and interpreting measurement instruments.
Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Eagerness to take on new challenges and learn.
Education:
- Enrolled in an accredited college/university earning a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Additional Information:
Able to provide reliable transportation to/from work.
Must be fully available for the duration of the internship.
