Background Artists
We’re looking for talented Background Artists to join us on Family Squad, our newest animated film project. We’re seeking artists with a passion for 2D animation, a strong eye for detail, and the ability to bring stories to life through compelling visual environments. The collaboration is planned to start in November 2026 and continue until summer 2027.
What Awaits You
- Create and develop backgrounds that establish the film’s environments, visual style, and atmosphere, supporting the storytelling and character animation.
- Work with frame-by-frame (hand-drawn) and/or cut-out animation techniques, depending on your role and the project’s workflow.
- Follow the established artistic direction, animation style, and production guidelines.
- Collaborate with other artists and the animation team to maintain visual consistency and meet production deadlines.
What Makes You a Match
- Experience in background production and proficiency in Adobe Photoshop.
- A good understanding of animation principles, visual storytelling, and artistic consistency.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow an established visual style.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Availability to start in November 2026, with the potential for continued collaboration until summer 2027.
