Model Supervisor (3D Model)
JOB BRIEF
The Model Supervisor is responsible for the direction and management of the model department while working under the supervision of the Head of Asset, Head of Model, Head of CG. They are in charge of giving the necessary coaching and training to his team in order to reach its objectives and are responsible for the entire process of the model. This position for the department they bring and implement their expertise both technically and artistically for completion of the project.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Management
- Develop, Manage, support head of model and maintain timing and production quotas in accordance with the coordination team.
- Attend and actively participate in meetings with clients.
- Organize and conduct team meetings and assign, supervise and review the modeling team work.
- Inform the team about changes and news related to the project.
- Train and supervise and review the modeling team’s work.
- Give feedback to each artist about their performance of work.
- Actively participate in the selection of New Artists.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by management.
Production
- Develop and improve procedures and tools to facilitate production.
- Develop and manage the Modeling work process (Nomenclature, References, Resources, Needed, Methodology, Tools, Schedules, Work Assignments, etc.)
- Work closely with the other supervisors in order to ensure a good transition into Animation, Rendering, etc. and support the teams throughout production.
- Prepare guidelines and instructions to be followed by the Model Team.
- Write the necessary documentation about the Pipeline Development.
- Check the consistency of the work done by the Model Team.
- Act as the main spokesperson during exchanges between departments
- Performing any other works which may be assigned from time to time.
- Performing and responsibilities are compliance with regulations and internal audit processes.
JOB AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
- Experience in 5+ years of VFX experience modeling photorealistic assets for Feature Films
- Strong knowledge of MAYA, ZBrush, Photoshop, Marvelous Designer
- Strong creative eye for organic form, function, and aesthetics.
- Ability to Problem Solving, Communication Skills, Team work, Positive Thinking and Team management
- Ability to train and guide a team.
- Good command of English (Write, Speaking,Reading).
